My Prattle:
This is a definite must in a teen romance list of movies. It is a coming-of-age teen romance drama film based on the romance novel of the same name by Nicholas Sparks. The film is set around 1998. The film soundtrack has six songs by Mandy Moore. And Mandy Moore's version of Switchfoot's song Only Hope, which she sings in the film was really good.
They chose young actors for the cast so that, teens can relate to them easily. And I think their choice was perfect. Shane West was perfect for the role of Landon Carter, as he has to be both the bad boy who is angry with everything, and the heroic, caring lover. Mandy Moore has both the voice and the face to be the soft Jamie. They looked really good together.
The story shows the lives of two completely different type of persons, forced together due to circumstances. It shows how they effect each other and their lives. Its a beautiful love story. It was targeted towards teen audience, but I think everyone who is in love, or loves romance movies will enjoy watching it. Its perfect for watching with your loved ones.
A quote from the movie,
Love is always patient and kind. It is never jealous. Love is never boastful or conceited. It is never rude or selfish. It does not take offense and is not resentful. Love takes no pleasure in other people's sins, but delights in the truth. It is always ready to excuse, to trust, to hope, and to endure whatever comes.
